The REFRESH project is exhibiting at JEC World 2025, the leading international composites show.

REFRESH is participating in the new Research & Innovation Projects programme being launched at JEC World this year.

This new initiative is designed to showcase the latest advancements in composite materials, enabling projects to raise awareness of their objectives, disseminate their results, and connect with industry stakeholders and potential collaborators.

This new platform offers a unique opportunity for projects and their partners to reach decision-makers across the global composites value chain, accelerate the impact of their research and drive commercial applications.

In 2024, JEC World attracted 1300+ exhibitors and more than 43,000 professional visits from 100+ countries.

Advancing circularity of wind turbine blades

REFRESH (Smart dismantling, sorting and REcycling of glass Fibre REinforced composite from wind power Sector through Holistic approach) commenced in January 2023. The project is developing a smart, circular solution for end-of-service wind turbine blades manufactured from glass fibre reinforced composite materials.

As part of the Research & Innovation Projects programme, REFRESH will exhibit on booth 6D114-03 in Hall 6, and will also offer two presentations on the Open Stage.

REFRESH: from end-of-use blades to new products

Description: This sessions will present the REFRESH smart, circular concept for enabling improved recycling of glass fibre-reinforced composites from decommissioned wind turbine blades. A dedicated traceability tool and decision-making software will make it possible to select the most sustainable recycling route for each blade.
